The Principal and staff of Laerskool Nobel Primary School work towards instilling a high standard of morals, values and productivity. Be sure that your child will become a valued future citizen of our country. We encourage our staff to be innovative and introduce positive new ideas. The Heads of Department render guidance and encouragement. In order to maintain these standards, we depend on parents/guardians to support our vision. Please read the following code of conduct carefully, as we would like our parents to work in unison with the teachers in guiding our pupils. Remember the “open door” policy of our Principal. Should you wish to speak to a teacher; the office will assist in making an appointment with your child’s teacher.
Wow—we are already at the end of the third term. This year has flown by and the learners have worked really hard. The third term was a busy one with the athletes doing us proud by winning the athletics meeting on 31 August 2016. The fun day on 10 September 2016 was a huge success and I would like to thank everyone involved. The learners also did very well in the Lethabo Festival, the Maths Olympiad and Cross Country.
The Drop and Read project has been implemented and is aimed at encouraging a love for reading. Other activities such as Kidz Theatre, the Grade 4 excursion to the Lory Park Zoo, The Reach Project for the Grade 6 and 7 learners, the Spelling BEE, the Soweto excursion for the Grade 7s and Thumbelina all took part during the third term.
The learners and staff can look forward to the short break before the final term of the year. Thank you to all parents who are actively involved in their child’s schooling. I would like to remind parents that discipline starts at home.
Have a good break and a good rest and I look forward to seeing you in the short final term.

We constantly reinforce that taking the time to focus on discipline and support positive behaviours does pay off in the end academically.
We take pride in the discipline at Laerskool Nobel Primary. To maintain good discipline, our teachers and parents work together. Positive reinforcement is the secret. Nobel uses an AWESOME ATTITUDE RECORD. Pupils receive awards: certificates, incentives etc for exemplary behaviour, academics, cultural, extramural activities etc. We concentrate on positive enforcement.
We do however record poor academics, poor behavior, homework not done, etc. These records are available for parents to peruse at any time. Parents will be informed in writing to assist the teacher and will be requested to attend a meeting should the problem not be resolved or become severe. This is where your support is required to assist!
Because I am a responsible caring parent/guardian I will:
I AM A SUPPORTIVE NOBEL PARENT AND EXPECT ONLY THE BEST FOR AND FROM MY CHILD BECAUSE I CARE!
